My professional experience includes 20 years in the mental health field, specifically providing individual and family counseling, as well as clinical supervision and administrative oversight. I am currently licensed through the North Carolina Social Work Certification and Licensure Board, and am an approved qualified supervisor for Associate Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSWA.) I am a nationally certified Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapist (TF-CBT), rostered through the NC Child Treatment Program (NC-CTP); an NC-CTP rostered clinician in SPARCS (Structured Psychotherapy for Adolescents Responding to Chronic Stress); a Quality-Rated Provider of Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), an indicated treatment for adults living with trauma exposure/s and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) symptoms; and, trained in CBT-i, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia.
In the end, and most importantly, I focus on facilitating and guiding clients through the change process and cultivating a productive and safe client/therapist relationship.
